Here’s A Closer Look At The Rumored Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard 2.0 Re-release

Here’s A Closer Look At The Rumored Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard 2.0 Re-release

Among the most legendary sneaker collaborations to date, Tom Sachs and his Nike Mars Yard have never escaped exclusivity with pairs still soaring at above $5,000 on the resell market. But with his Overshoe likely disappointing many — and inciting a few brave souls to chop off its outer shell — it seems the artist has listened to the woes of his many fans as the now iconic silhouette is arriving for the third time in its most cherished form. Instead of switching up the materials as they did from v1 to 2, the newest pair is more so a return of the latter as it outfits in most of the same finer details. New tags and various rumors, however, lead many to believe it is more appropriately a v3, though pictures revealed today can let you be the judge. Mesh exhibits largely the same weave from the toe box to tongue with all the red accents intact at the heel and tongue pull tabs as well as the swoosh with its varying angle from medial to lateral. One distinct to note is the tongue’s foam backing as it seems much less pronounced, though it may just be the angle. Elsewhere, the sole unit is structurally the same piece for piece, but its indented symbols swap at only one section on the left foot. Grab a good look at these for yourself and sit tight as we learn more on the upcoming rerelease.
