Nike Is Bringing Back More Vintage Style Vandal Highs

Nike’s wide-reaching experiments with vintage varsity style detailing this summer has provided us with interesting takes on classic silhouettes, like chenille swoosh-adorned Air Force 1s and satin-covered Air Max 1s. The Swoosh Brand isn’t done with the old-school vibes yet either, as now two luxe takes on the classic Nike Vandal High has surfaced. Arriving in both a black/gold and an extra-retro red/silver, both Vandals boast an upper constructed of premium satin, while detailing is provided by large embroidered swooshes with white backing and tri-colored ankle straps. A white midsole completes both shoes, and for an extra touch each pair comes with two sets of laces so the wearer can customize them to their personal preference. This dynamic retro duo is set to release August 8th in Japan for ¥10,000—roughly $90 USD—with a US Nike.com release likely to follow in the coming weeks.
