Vans Revamps Sk8-Mid 83 DX With Help from Japanese Streetwear Brand Neighborhood

Vans is wrapping up 2023 right with help from Japanese streetwear brand Neighborhood.

Going back to basics, Vans and Neighborhood are dropping a new sneaker silhouette centered around the footwear brand’s Sk8-Mid 83 DX model with a focus on minimal design and versatile neutrals. The collaborative sneaker comes in all-cream and all-black colorways crafted of mixed textural suede and leather uppers, making for a minimalistic addition to any wardrobe.

The heels of each sneaker are embossed with the Japanese brand’s “NBHD” logo on the heel, while “Neighborhood” decorates the toes. Vans and Neighborhood co-branding can be seen all throughout the shoe on the tongue and printed on the insoles, offering the silhouette a graphic and instantly recognizable touch. Neighborhood’s “Craft with Pride Tokyo Est. 1994” moto is stylishly plastered on the midsoles of the collaborative silhouette. Additional details featured on the Sk8-Mid 83 DX model include sleek coordinating lace-up closures and thick rubber soles fitted with a non-slip tread that can be found on a variety of Vans‘ skater-inspired silhouettes.

Vans’ Sk8-Mid silhouette has been interpreted many times over by a variety of brands, including JJJJound, Supreme and Abc.
