Meagan Good attended the A Toast to Black Hollywood event in Los Angeles on June 27 celebrating 10 years of Black excellence in the industry donning a a multi-textured, monochromatic ensemble.
The “Stomp the Yard” star slipped into a shimmery black gown featuring an asymmetrical design with a single sleeve, sheer paneling and knotted detailing throughout the bodice. The full-length skirt was finished with a dramatic slit that hit nearly at the hip. Good complemented the scintillating dress with a pair of glossy black sandals and rounded out her bold look with dangly earrings that sparkled.
The actress, who’s been busy promoting her new Tyler Perry thriller “Divorce in the Black,” wore simple black stiletto sandals boasting slender patent straps wrapped around the toe and ankle. The high-shine style was set on a skinny high heel that looked to be around 4 inches tall, offering a subtle boost of height.

This isn’t the first time Good has embraced the multi-textured trend, which combines contrasting textures like tweed, patches, quilting and other additions that create volume. Earlier this month on June 13, Good donned a tropical printed ensemble and platform wedge espadrille sandals at the 2024 American Black Film Festival. Then, for a visit to the Empire Statement Building on June 6, she sported a crisp white button-down shirt knotted to reveal her abdomen paired with a pleated denim midi skirt and pointy off-white ankle booties that laced up the front. Eva Longoria, Brooke Shields and Jennifer Lopez are just a few of the other celebrities who have put their own spin on the trend throughout June 2024.
