Florence Pugh put an edgy twist on “summer whites” in her latest look.
While on the press tour for “Black Widow” this morning, the Oscar-nominated actress slipped into a white minidress by Givenchy. The dress featured a wide debossed belted silhouette with the brand’s “4G” logo, as well as a leather strip connecting the garment’s two straps, styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray. The ensemble was completed with two sculptural silver rings.
On the footwear front, Pugh donned a pair of strappy open-toed sandals, also by Givenchy. The “Little Women” star’s shoes featured puffy white leather resembling the same “4G” logo, as well as slingback straps. However, their heels made the sharpest statement, sculpted to look like ram’s horns with silver tips. This pair was reminiscent of creative director Matthew Williams’ debut spring 2021 collection, where sandals and pumps featuring the same horn heel went instantly viral. Though Pugh’s sandals don’t appear to be available, a similar black pair retails for $1,095 on Farfetch.com.
Monochrome outfits have become one of the season’s most popular trends. The styling hack mixes pieces in the same color or print, creating a sleek and streamlined look that appears completely effortless. Pugh is the latest star to favor the look, among celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Saweetie, Lizzo and more. She recently showed an aptitude for the trend last week in a hot pink Versace dress and platform pumps while in Paris, as glamorous matching sets and monochrome outfits are her proven wardrobe go-tos.
The “Midsommar” star herself has become a focus in the fashion world while on the press circuit for “Black Widow” this year, wearing an array of statement dresses and sets by Miu Miu, Prada, Giambattista Valli and more. Most recently, she was spotted in a matching floral embroidered crop top and skirt during Dior’s haute couture show, as well as an iridescent swirl-printed skirt and jacket at Louis Vuitton’s Parfum dinner at Paris Fashion Week.
